Installation

Practical Circuits

All low voltage lighting installation circuits will consist of either a spur, a loop or a combination of the two. The choice of circuit will depend on the number of lights in the complete installation and their relative location to the power supply and one another. One of the many advantages of Vivace Lighting is their low power consumption when compared to their light output. There is then more freedom to run long distances from the power supply to the individual lights.

Spur

A spur is a single run of interconnection cable that runs from a power supply to each light in turn.

Loop

A loop is a run of interconnection cable that starts at the power supply, goes to each light in turn and then returns back to the power supply.

Complex Circuits

A complex circuit would be a combination of both loops and spurs.

More than one spur can be connected to a loop and more than one loop can be run from the power supply. To assist in the installation, we can provide additional terminal blocks and glands where the power supply is to be housed in an enclosure.

Where multichannel remote systems are being installed then all channels must be totally independent of one other.

Compact Layouts

For lighting displays that will be confined to a small space with the power supply in the same area, we can provide light modules with longer cables. This enables the lights to be wired directly to the power supply. We need to be made aware of compact layouts at either the time of enquiry or at the time of ordering.
